High Stakes at the Travers Stakes

Happy Travers Stakes weekend! Some may know this race as the mid-summer Derby or the highlight of the summer race meet at Saratoga, but we know it as great racing- especially this year! The field includes the three winners of this year's Triple Crown races (Always Dreaming, Cloud Computing, and Tapwrit), and it's the first time all three winners of the spring classics have faced off since the 1982 Travers- that year, a horse named Runaway Groom beat them all! So what is going to happen this year? Will we get deja-vu with the defeat of the classic champs or can one of them pull out another victory? We may not be able to predict that, but we can guess it will be thrilling to find out!
