National Adoption Month!

November is National Adoption Month and with that, we want to take a moment to recognize some of the amazing groups that strive to improve the life of retired thoroughbreds. Old Friend’s, New Vocations, and Maker’s Mark Secretariat Center are just a few organizations who have made strides in providing comfortable arrangements for off the track thoroughbreds (OTTB) before they find their forever homes.

Some retired stars can also be found at the farms located in Central Kentucky. Our old favorites, such as AP Indy and Uncle Mo, are still happy residents of Horse Country. Their racing careers may be over, but they continue to live as celebrities surrounded by staff and fans alike who see these champions as family.

Each time these fan favorites step out of the stall, they are met with gasps of admiration and love. The grooms that work so closely to them share stories of kinship and respect. Although they may never see the track again, they will always be champions in our hearts, and they will be treated as such.

Come relive the glory days with your favorite stars and Horse Country!
